Approach shot
An approach shot is the shot you use to move forward and take the net, often when your opponent leaves a short ball. Good placement puts pressure on your opponent and helps set up your first volley.
Think placement and balance, not just power. Move in after your shot, then split-step as your opponent strikes the ball.
Build the next shot. The approach does not have to be a winner.
