Nakashima joins Team World
Brandon Nakashima replaces Ben Shelton at the Laver Cup after Shelton withdrew to rest. Francisco Cerundolo had already replaced Tommy Paul. They join Taylor Fritz, Alex de Minaur, Alexander Bublik and Learner Tien in London.

Elena Rybakina became world No. 1 on September 14, with Aryna Sabalenka moving to No. 2. Both appear on the China Open entry list as attention turns toward Beijing; participation remains subject to change.

Great Britain beat Ecuador 4-0 in London to reach November's Final 8 in Bologna. Toby Samuel and Arthur Fery won the opening singles, Henry Patten and Neal Skupski clinched the tie in doubles, and Harry Wendelken completed the sweep.

Match tiebreak
In the 10-point format used at the Laver Cup, a match tiebreak replaces the deciding third set. The first player or team to reach at least 10 points with a two-point lead wins.
You will also see this format in many doubles competitions. Go in with one clear plan: choose your serve targets and reset between points.
